World English Bible

The World English Bible is a major public-domain modern English Bible, prepared specifically for unrestricted copying and digital distribution at a time when most contemporary translations remained under copyright. It covers the complete Bible, with deuterocanonical variants available, and draws on Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek sources alongside the English of the American Standard Version. Its base text combines an ASV base with the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, together with source decisions drawn from the Majority Text and the ASV.
